The Budget page tracks your expenses and income across as many sheets as you like, with automatic conversion between yearly, quarterly, monthly, fortnightly, weekly, and daily costs.
Open Budget from the menu. A sheet is already waiting for you, with a "Fixed Expenses" category and an "Income" category ready to fill in.
Rename your sheet by clicking the ✎ pencil button next to the sheet name at the top.
Pick your currency from the dropdown near the top of the page. If your currency shares a symbol with others (like $), click the 🌐 globe button to show a disambiguating prefix, e.g. A$ for Australian dollars.
Add expense categories with the + Add expenses category button, then give each one a name.
Add a budget item inside any category with its + Add expense (or + Add income) button. Give it a name, pick one time period, and enter an amount — the other five periods are calculated for you automatically.
Edit any value later by clicking the ✎ next to it. Changing one period recalculates all the others to match.
Reorganize as needed: use ↑ / ↓ to reorder categories or items, ✎ to rename, and ✕ to delete.
Customize your view in the "Show / Hide Columns" bar at the bottom of the page — toggle individual time-period columns on or off, flip their left-to-right order, hide the row-actions column, or move the row-actions column next to the Item column instead of the far right.
Work with multiple sheets using the tabs at the bottom: + Add New creates another sheet, click a tab to switch to it, drag tabs to reorder them, 📄 Copy Sheet duplicates the current sheet, and 🗑 Delete Sheet removes it.
Back up or transfer your data with 💾 Save, which downloads everything as a JSON file, and 📂 Load, which restores it — handy for switching browsers or devices.
Print your budget with 🖨 Print, or click Hide UI first to preview a clean, control-free view on screen before printing.
Income is a single category — you can rename it, but you can't add more income categories or delete it. Add as many income items inside it as you like.
🗑 Clear ALL Data (top right) permanently erases every sheet, not just the one you're viewing. Export a backup first if there's anything you want to keep. It does not touch your Fuel Calculator data.
Getting Started: Fuel Calculator
The Fuel Calculator estimates what a regular trip costs you in petrol, based on five numbers you enter.
Open Fuel Calculator from the menu.
Fill in the five fields: petrol price (cents per litre), one-way distance (km), your vehicle's fuel efficiency (L/100km), toll cost for one one-way trip (dollars), and how many round trips you make in a week.
Click Calculate to see your cost per km, per trip, per day, week, month, and year — with and without tolls — plus the distance you cover over the same periods.
Your numbers are saved automatically to this browser as you type, so they'll still be there next time you open the page.
Click Clear saved values to blank the form and forget the saved numbers.
Figures are simple proportional estimates in Australian dollars and metric units (km, L/100km) — actual costs will vary.
Leave distance at 0 and per-km costs will show as an infinite value (∞) — enter your actual trip distance to get a real number.
